I have been really wanting to try cauliflower pizza crust so I took advantage of my Wednesday off from school to make it for lunch. It was super easy, really delicious, and left me guilt free!
There are many variations of making cauliflower crust, but I’ll share what I did.
- 4 cups cauliflower
- 1 egg
- salt and pepper to taste
- seasoning (I used Italian seasoning)
I pre-heated the oven to 350 degrees. While the oven was preheating I cut up the cauliflower and diced them with a knife. I accidentally packed up my food processor (which would have made the process a bit easier and quicker).
After I diced up the cauliflower I sprinkled some water in it and baked it in the oven for 20 minutes.
While it was baking I got the rest of the ingredients ready and got out the toppings.
After 20 minutes of baking I put the cauliflower in my mixer with 1 egg, salt and pepper, and some seasoning. The reason I bake it for 20 minutes was to soften it so it would blend up.
After I mixed it all up I put it back on the baking stone and baked it for 20 more minutes, but at 450 degrees.
After 20 minutes the crust is ready for toppings!
I put some tomato paste on for sauce, baby bellas, artichokes, and spinach.
I bake the pizza one more time for 10 minutes. I like my pizza a little more on the crunchy side so I left the oven at 450 degrees.
I thoroughly enjoyed this pizza! The crust was a bit crunchy, but perfect for me. If you don’t like your crust super crunchy you could either turn down the heat or bake it for less time.
