If there is anything you do today, PLEASE watch this one hour documentary. I talked about it on the post, and will probably reference it again because it is that good. I watched this while I was a junior at the University of Iowa and fell in love with it. If you do not believe in yourself or think you can’t run, you will feel very different at the end of this.
Warning: get tissues! Okay, I am over sensitive and cry at almost anything, but this documentary will (hopefully) make you shed tears of joy.
A quick summary of the documentary:
Can anyone run a marathon? How do you run 26.2 miles if you have trouble making it around the block? With good coaching, discipline, and lots of group support, as NOVA shows when it follows 13 generally sedentary people through a training regimen designed to prepare them for an ultimate test of stamina and endurance. Produced in cooperation with the Boston Athletic Association®, which granted NOVA unprecedented access to the 111th Boston Marathon®, and Tufts University, “Marathon Challenge” takes viewers on a unique adventure inside the human body, tracking the physiological changes that exercise can bring about.

Please let me know your thoughts. It truly is an inspirational video. I cry throughout the whole video, but the waterworks really come into full affect at the end. 🙂
