I get asked quite often why I get up so early and if I actually like getting up that early. That answer is NO. I truly do not like getting up at 4:45 am, but that is the best time for me to workout on the weekdays.
I HATE going to bed between 8:30 and 9:30, but if I want to get up and get my workout in I have to.
I have tried working out after school, but it just doesn’t work well for me.
Today for example I left my classroom around 5, went grocery shopping, made dinner with Morgan and by the time that was over it was close to 6:30. Now some people can workout in the evening, but I am not one of those people.
I would much rather put on my pajamas, drink tea, and read a good book.
What I do love is the feeling of getting my workout in and DONE in the morning before I leave for school. It makes me feel good all day!
This morning was not the best workout, I was a bit tired and lazy.
All I accomplished was 3 miles on the treadmill, upper body weights, and stretching.
I hit snooze one too many times and did not get in my core work. Oops.
I actually set my alarm to 8:35, so I can hit snooze once and be okay. It’s all about the mind games.
Except today I hit it about three times…
At school today I had my kids write a “compassionate holiday wish” and a few of them are after my own heart 🙂
My mom said she missed my face today so I sent her this. I know, super glamorous.
Alright I am off to bed. It is currently 8:45 and my bed is calling my name!
Let’s hope I only hit snooze once tomorrow and get some crunches in.
